Leadership


  • John & sherry carey - elder & treasurer

    John serves the church as an Elder, Bible Study Leader, and as the Church Council President. Along with Sherry who serves as our Treasurer, they also teach various Bible studies. John is the retired MD director for the Bureau of Mining. Along with Sherry they have 4 adult children and enjoy their 10 grandchildren.     

  • matt widder - elder

    Matt serves the church as an Elder and Bible study leader. A native of Chambersburg, PA, Matt attended Greencastle-Antrim High School (PA), Lock Haven University (PA), and Capital Bible Seminary (MD). Emily grew up in the Grantsville area and is a teacher in the Washington County, MD school system. Matt and Emily have one son, Lincoln.

  • franklin & Allison Broadwater - deacons

    Franklin and Allison serve the church as deacons in a number of ways. Franklin is often found back running the computer for our worship services, and is a leader of our Facilities Team. Allison directs our annual VBS program, and helps lead our Children's Ministries. Franklin is the owner/operator of a local trucking business. Together they have: 3 children Brianna (married to Eric), Gracie (soon to be married to Levi), Brayden; and 1 grandson, Emmett.  

  • johnny carey - deacon

    Johnny is married to Amanda and together they have 3 children: Jaden (soon to be married to Megan), Maggie, and Jack.

  • linda upole - deacon

    Linda is a lifelong member of the church and enjoys her family of 4 adult children, and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
